The video speaks for itself. It looks like Marshawn Lynch already is out there spending his money from his new contract, shopping for a new Seahawks gill in his hometown in Oakland. Thanks to The Network of Champions channel on YouTube for the link.

Clare Farnsworth of talks to offensive lineman John Moffitt about Lynch signing a long-term deal to stay in Seattle. Moffitt: “We were watching film of a practice early in training camp. Marshawn jumped over the line, off his right leg. And then landed on his right leg. Which is very hard to do.”

ESPN’s Mike Sando has a nice graphic showing Lynch’s impact during the backstretch of the 2011 season.

Here’s a list of the 22 players that were franchised by Monday’s deadline, a league record.

Pat Kirwan of CBS Sports has Seattle selecting Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly.

Former NFL player John Lynch writing for Fox Sports writes that the league must admit the rules have changed, and cannot punish players for big hits while celebrating them at the same time.

  1. Not exactly what I would spend all that money on, but hey, every man to himself I guess.

  2. Dukeshire says:

5 kickers and a punter were tagged. That’s hilarious, to me.

    Lynch… one excentric dude.

  3. GeorgiaHawk says:

I hope Pat Kirwan is right about us picking Luke Kuechly. The more I see or here about him the more I like!

  4. GeorgiaHawk says:

  5. I love this guy.

  6. Hey Duke… it is funny, but… kickers win football games.

  7. I knew a guy in the Navy that had “Family First” tattooed on his neck, I did not realize it was something you could give a shout out to.

Also, I’m so very very Caucasian.

  8. Mr. Mode is absolutely priceless. When that Powerball comes through, I’m headed to Oakland to get a grill that says Seahawks too. Who’s with me!?

  9. That is one funny piece – this is not his first grill rodeo . . .

As the saying goes, youth is wasted on the young. Not my cup of tea, but if it makes him happy go for it.

I do hope somebody is assisting him in managing his money and investing/saving some away for the future.

But then, gold is always a sound investment.

Beast Mode? That’s as bad a nickname as King Felix. Why not just add the “ie” at the end of his name. I’m sure we could warm up to: Lynchie. Anyway, I’m glad he’s here.

  12. JazBadAzz says:

That Seahawk grill was nice, wish I had one! He better run off those cheetos and twinkis! We cant have a 235 rb! LOL
