The Seattle Seahawks leading receiver could be out for this weekend’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin did not practice for a second straight day on Friday, and is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against San Francisco.
Although head coach Pete Carroll told us on Thursday that he thought Baldwin would be ready to go this weekend.
Cornerback Kennard Cox (hamstring), linebacker Malcolm Smith (concussion) and defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (concussion) are listed as doubtful. Cox and Smith did not practice, and McDonald was a limited participant.
With Cox likely out, recent addition Phillip Adams could be pressed into duty to fill in on special teams on Saturday.
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral), offensive guard Robert Gallery (pelvis) and linebacker David Hawthorne (knee) all were full participants and are probable for Saturday.
For San Francisco, receiver Braylon Edwards (knee), running back Bruce Miller (knee) and linebacker Patrick Willis (hamstring) were limited participants today and are questionable.
Receiver Ted Ginn (ankle) did not practice and is listed as questionable
Baldwin’s going to be a big loss with Butler as the only WR left with any experience. Hopefully Ginn and Willis can miss the game on their side. The 49ers have been healthy the whole season while the Seahawks are missing half their starters on offense.

Jackson really seems to look to Baldwin, for good reason, especially after losing Rice so this loss would seem to potentially be huge. I don’t expect much from this offense if Baldwin can’t go.
Seriously, who the heck does Baldwin think he is by being a productive rookie WR? Doesn’t he know the normal rules for a rookie WR? He’s the poster boy for loving a player coming out of “nowhere.” For you young fans in your teen years, this is kind of like “our” Rufus Porter. Some bum who wasn’t drafted and yet becomes a fan favorite as the underdog. Great stuff.

Is obo out? He has more experience than Butler and Tate has been getting a lot of time the last month.

Crazy how fast we got thin at the position. this is going to be a good time for Rockett to show the league what he has.
We have shown so many 2 TE looks in the run game this year it might be a good game to Miller going off some play action.

I’m going to “Mayberry.” I’m just thankful I don’t have to use an outhouse this weekend.
