Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said receivers Sidney Rice and Ben Obomanu (knee/ankle) will not practice today.
And quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (strained pectoral) also will take it easy today. Also, Alan Branch (ankle) will not practice today.
The Seahawks also placed rookie James Carpenter was placed on season-ending, injured reserve.
Both Carpenter and John Moffitt are having their knee surgeries today. The Seahawks have not announced what player will replace Carpenter on the active roster.
Carroll said that both Obomanu and Branch think they’ll be ready for Sunday.
Jackson talked to reporters this afternoon, and said that his teammates’ confidence is growing with the two-game winning streak.
“It’s been growing throughout the whole season,” Jackson said. “Even though we were losing we’ve had different guys making plays and actually seeing that they can get it done.
“Even though we were taking losses during that process we were still able to get guys going and focused in the right direction and understanding the game a little more, understanding it’s still just football. Once we get it all going and we focus in and we get it together, we can be a pretty good team.”
