We had a surprise addition to the Seattle Seahawks injury report this afternoon, with receiver Sidney Rice missing practice with a foot injury.

Rice fully participated in practice on Wednesday, so I’m not sure if this is a maintenance issue, or if Rice is in danger of missing Sunday’s game at Dallas. Seattle head coach Pete Carroll does not talk to reporters on Thursday.

Also not practicing for the second straight day were tight end Cameron Morrah (toe/knee) and defensive tackle Alan Branch (knee/hip).

Receiver Mike Williams (hamstring) and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) were limited participants. And linebacker Leroy Hill (knee) and safety Kam Chancellor (knee) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday.

For Dallas, cornerback Mike Jenkins (hamstring), running back Felix Jones (ankle) and linebacker Sean Lee (wrist) did not practice for a second straight day.

Punter Matt McBriar (left foot) and offensive lineman Kyle Kosier (foot) were limited participants in practice, and quarterback Tony Romo (ribs) was a full participant in practice.

Well, if it were a maintenance issue, wouldn’t he have missed practice with some regularity throughout the season? I don’t recall reading that since the shoulder issue. I sincerely hope this is a minor issue because he his the offenses most dynamic player, by miles.

  2. Undoubtedly. I look forward to some consistent ‘starts’ by Tjack and Sidney. When they both do, we’re a very competitive. Apart, not the same whatsoever.

The more I hear Tjack speak, the more I like him. Stand up, plays hard, tough guy, well respected amidst his peers, etc. Sidney isn’t as articulate, but well spoken nonetheless.

This team is just a little ways away. Defense is solid, period. Young O-line and overall fluidity of offense will help us tremendously.

This game is very winnable. The Cowgirls are as dysfunctional as any team out there. Jerry Jones is pure drama. Could you imagine someone so obnoxious as an owner?

I don’t care for Texas (with possibly the exception of Austin Blues Festival) and hope we kick the crap out of them! I think we can, but without Rice…not so much.

  3. competitive team…

joreb – Austin is an incredible town. The Blues Fest and ACL are great times. But I actually prefer being there when “nothing” is going on. You can’t avoid great music if you tried. lol. But yes, outside of that amazing oasis, Texas is hard to get your arms around.

Good to see folks lightening up on TJ. Let’s see what the season has in store for us. If we could just get that running game going……

  7. We have not had a legitimate running game in over 5 years.

I believe If they would just get read of the zone blocking we could run the ball..
