We had an eight-way tie at the top in Week 3 in our Seahawks Insider Pick ‘em contest, with Fanaticos deSeahawks, Champion0445, Fayjia 1, Use the Forsett, rifra31, RhewChuryll, Spencerdtom 1, and Beemus21 1 all getting 13 correct.

I finished with 11 correct.

And after three weeks, Fanaticos deSeahawks, dudlbgr1 and spencerdtom 1 lead the standings with 27 correct after dropping their worst week.

I am three picks back with 24 correct.

As always, you can check out the results or join in by clicking here.

Eric, You’re having a solid year after some struggles last season. Nice work.

  2. chuck_easton says:

Curry is at it again. He’s tweeting that he’s on the trading block.

He’s stating that both the Vikings and the Panters are interested.

If Carolina wants to give up a good draft pick I say send him home. I know he’ll end up ‘realizing’ his potential but I don’t care at this point.

Ever since getting to Seattle the guy has tried to play/talk his way out of here. It’s obvious that he doesn’t care about the team and was only here for the fish (fish=money…Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe reference there).

  3. SandpointHawk says:

Curry should follow Glen Coffee’s lead and just retire….

  4. chrisj122 says:

Curry, don’t let the door hit you in the *ss on the way out.

  5. chrisj122 says:

Maybe Cam Newton can help Curry with the X’s & O’s of the game.

  6. Seems like there’s some interest in Curry at least. I wonder what PC would take…

  7. princeaden says:

Curry should be made to report to work every morning at 4AM to hang on the back of a Garbage truck and pick up a residential route for 1 month. My guess is that he would gain a new found respect and motivation for the position he currently holds. I just have a hard time feeling sorry for this spoiled baby that can’t seem to keep motivated on a daily basis with the God given skill-set he’s got.

  8. There are 52 players on our team who are more interesting to talk about than Aaron Curry. What’s happened to this blog?

  9. It was hijacked to the point we are constantly talking about one of the least important positions on the team.

  10. If we got the chicken pox for Curry we would have won that trade. He’s a bum (I sincerely apologize to all bums, too).

  11. Dukeshire says:

Since Curry’s arrival he’s been a lightening rod, importance of the position has nothing to do with it. And now he’s finally on his way out. Not surprising people are talking about it.

  12. confucious says:

    ACIB….Where are you?

  13. Palerydr says:

ACIB is putting in an extra 10 seconds in the shower on a daily basis now that his favorite player is on a fast track outta town. I wonder if his awesome powers of talent evaluation can tell us who the next bust is gonna be?

Yup I don’t like the guy.

  14. Has nothing to do with this blog being highjacked…

He was a #4 overall pick and most of us have an intrest in seeing how this ends for him in Seattle.

    Quit with the blog snobbery.

  15. Palerydr says:

Curious as to what “Blog Snobbery” is defined as.

I also am curious to see what they do with the guy(Curry). I’m hoping for a mid round conditional pick with the conditions being if he plays “X” amount of plays then the pick goes up.

As for ACIB I got tired of endless rants over and over saying the same thing so that’s why I dislike the guy. I’m sure there are folks who don’t like me. I’m ok with that. What we all are is fans of the Hawks and that’s what I like the most.

  16. chuck_easton says:

The reason Curry is being discussed by me is for one reason only.

The team is rebuilding and currently has one of the youngest rosters in the NFL. We also have the youngest starting Offense in the NFL. The FO is attempting to instill a positive attitude and work ethic that will carry these young guys through the growing pains and should help in moving to a better future.

We now have one player who uses his social media site to consistantly complain about the team, complain about how he is being used, complain about the desisions management has made with the roster, and is now openly welcoming the opportunity to play elsewhere. He included in one of his tweets “Yea, they won”. Not WE won, THEY won. The guy has already checked out mentally.

This after this team has paid him quite well and given him more than a fair chance to be successful.

The guy is a cancer on the team and needs to be removed. If we can get a new ball bag and a box of athletic tape for him we will come out ahead.

I know he’s going to go elsewhere and suddenly find himself. He may even make a pro-bowl for another team someday. But he isn’t mentally here and he is allowing that to effect his on field performance.

  17. “He may even make a pro-bowl for another team someday.”

Not with his attitude, intellect, and level of maturity. Right now, one, two, three…he’s the tri-fecta of dumbass!

I think it’s more likely he’s out of the league in the next year or two.

  18. “Curry was relegated to special teams last week, playing one defensive series. That’ll likely be the plan in Week 4. It’s an odd situation in Seattle.’ ESPN

“They”, you can say that again. Odd. As in the QB situation as well. Pathetic.

Knowing he is on the trading block and no more playing time than he had after playing most every defensive down, yea, can see how he might use the word they. Not like he came in to pinch hit a walk off homer, drain a buzzer beater. He has no more leverage than Tatupu and is smart enough to know he is on the way out.

  19. I’ll cop to being a blog snob sometimes. Apologies. I hate snobs, except for beer snobs. Those are okay with me.

So I’m looking back at the 5th and 6th round pics Schneider’s gang have had for us:
    5th round: Chancellor, Sherman, Legree
    6th round: McCoy, Maxwell

At this point Curry might be the most physically talented backup linebacker in the NFL. But would I take 5th round pick for him, knowing Schneider’s record? Yes, I would. A 6th? Maybe. I hope they will pull the trigger.

  20. LOL, beer snobbery is good in my book too. :D
