Good morning. Sorry this post is getting up late, but I had an early flight out of Pittsburgh to make it back to town this morning.
We’ll start the live chat at 12:30 p.m. Pete Carroll’s press conference begins at 3 p.m.
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson calls Seattle’s offense performance embarrassing.
Carroll goes into further detail about Rice’s injury in this conversation with Brock Huard and Mike Salk of ESPN 710 Seattle. He compares Rice’s injury to a similar injury that Ben Obomanu played with last year. Obomanu had offseason surgery on the shoulder before this season. Here’s the audio link.
Clare Farnsworth of Seahawks.com talks to Seattle players afterward, who are frustrated with the way the team is playing.
Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times talks to Aaron Curry about the missed interception in the second quarter.
Jerry Brewer of the Seattle Times dissects Seattle’s struggles on offense.
ESPN’s Mike Sando offers some silver linings from Sunday’s game.
Christian Caple of Seattlepi.com offers his thoughts on the game.
Art Thiel and Steve Rudman of SportsPressNW.com call this year’s version of the Seahawks almost helpless.
Aaron Curry, what a clown. Absolutely unacceptable for the FOURTH OVERALL PICK.

Atleast Jackson and I agree on something…

I realize that football is a team sport but Browner and Jackson really let their team down. They both looked lost out there. I have been sticking up for Jackson but he made a few real boneheaded plays and it had nothing to do with his protection. He just has a hard time reading the defense even when he isnt under a lot of pressure. I also think the offensive play calling was terrible. Run, run and pass. I thought Holmgren was calling plays. At least when he called the plays we could run the ball.

I can forgive Browner; he was a longshot to make the team, played in the CFL, and was up against one of the fastest WRs in the NFL which was a total mismatch. Blame that fool Gus Bradley.

Browner played so tentatively after another PI yesterday. He’s really struggling to find the balance between aggression and smart.
