Nice job guys, great intro. lol. It was interesting to me that Boling said you take a superior talent with baggage, “but lets keep it to carry on”, then later made the case for Smith. To use a Parcells line from last night, Smith “has more red flags than May Day in Moscow”. But he’s right, he is a superior athlete that has special skills and would fill a huge need. But ultimately, I think you guys are right and I too would be very surprised if they don’t get out of #25.
And I think heard BobbyK squeeling with delight when Boling said trade back a couple times for 5 thirds. lol.
Eric, we gonna have a live chat tomorrow, at some point?
No! Not another 6’3″ 205 CB named Jimmy considered the most athletic CB in the draft. Jimmy Williams in 2006 fell out of the first round to Mora and the Atlanta Falcons. Poor performance and a marijuana suspension triggered his release and he sat out the 2008 season. San Francisco picked him up but a positive for a banned substance has been his undoing. He is now a FA.
Sandpoint, unknown but unlikely. Nelson denied the stay this morning and it’s off to the *th Circuit. Comments about “rouge” owners doing it anyway might make it fun and I secretly hope it gets crazy like that for entertainment purposes.
I too was agaped at Bolings “carry on” baggage comment in light of the Jimmy Smith discussion.
Great conversation, Eric and Steve. Thanks for the insight, and I kinda half-agree with Boling’s idea of trading the 1st and 2nd to get a truck load of picks! I’ll actually be a little surprised if we DO draft today, frankly, but truly believe the OL/DL depth (not just one or two players) must be addressed before QB unless THE guy is available. Oh wait, THE guy is in Palo Alto adjusting to a new head coach..
Well Pete’s commit about having the draft party on Friday was telling. So if your one of the 500 at the Seahawk’s Draft Party today wouldn’t that be a letdown…
Trade down for an early second and a third….
The twitter feed sucks…6 tweets the the draft starts today, oh really…

“Unless you draft a guy like Hugh Millen, then you play him right away”….haha – that was awesome.
