The NFL released preseason schedules for the league today, and the Seattle Seahawks will be playing some familiar opponents again this year.
Seattle starts preseason play Aug. 11 in San Diego against the Chargers in a Thursday night, nationally televised tilt on ESPN.
The Seahawks follow it up with a home contest against Minnesota Aug. 20, travel to Denver to take on the Broncos on Aug. 26 or 27 and finish off the preseason at home against Oakland on Sept. 2.
The Seahawks traditionally play against their former AFC West rivals in the preseason because of the closeness of those cities, making for easier travel.
The Chargers’ game will be the return of quarterback Charlie Whitehurst to San Diego.
Hopefully, the labor dispute is resolved by August so there will be a preseason.
