Tom Cable needs a good old fashion beat down since he can’t seem to keep his hands off of people. Oakland has been one of the dirtiest teams for a long time and all he did was highlight that with the continued dirty play and his off the field problems. I’m sure PC could have fouind someone better.

As far as OC, Bevell must have looked like a genius when Favre was there his first year. But then Favre went crazy, or got hurt, and Bevell looked like just another average Joe OC. No one was shouting his name when Jackson was the QB and that was with AP in the backfield. Should have went after McDaniels harder.

The Packers are on the verge of going to the Super Bowl, not sure Philbin would be interested in making a lateral move. His next move, or one in his position, would seem to be head coach.

The problem with Mallett is the same problem a lot of young quarterbacks with big arms face. He tends to get away with athleticism more than technique. In games where the defenses are much better (like in the NFL) his lack of footwork and technique got him into trouble. The windows were smaller and required him to be more precise. Too many times did I see him throwing off the wrong foot or just not even setting his feet in the proper alignment to make the throws.
