With No. 6 seed Green Bay defeating No. 1 seed Atlanta 48-21 at the Georgia Dome to advance to the NFC championship game, the Seahawks would get their wish and host the NFC Championship with a win over Chicago on Sunday.
Even though the Packers have a better record at 12-6, the Seahawks would host the NFC Championship because they won the NFC West and advanced to the playoffs as the No. 4 seed.
The last time the two teams met in the playoffs, Seattle traveled to Green Bay in a 2007 NFC divisional playoff, losing 42-20. Seattle took an early 14-0 lead, but the Packers outscored them 42-6 the rest of the way.
The Packers hold an 8-5 edge of Seattle in the regular-season series, and 2-0 advantage in the playoffs.
