He needs to start next year for our franchise. Matt Hasselbeck is my favorite Seahawk of all-time, but he can’t make this team competitive, and they’ve been competitive at times despite Hasselbeck. He has steadily declined to the point where he needs to end his time in Seattle.

This organization invested an awful lot in Whitehurst, they need to do their due diligence.

As for CW, let’s not forget that Hass excelled in preseason games when he was with Green Bay. CW, not so much. The reason fans are judging him already, after just one start, is that he isn’t a rookie. He should be doing better.

I hope he plays well on Sunday. A mistake-free game from him would give Seattle a pretty good chance of winning, I think.

For whatever the reason, the Hawks have been slow to get the running game rolling, and it could prove to be a hazard for Charlie Whitehurst who will be left with little option but to throw the ball early in the game. For a guy whose looked timid with the verticle passing game, and usually looks to run the ball rather than to pass it seems, it’s a recipe for disaster.

I think the Hawks need a big play from Earl Thomas. Lofa doesn’t seem to be the leader of the future anymore so maybe a big playmaking safety can fill the void. He’s got the talent to do it, and we need a big play on defense for once.

I am a diehard and optimistic fan who cheers for every guy who pulls on the jersey and steps on the field to represent our team. So, I will be in front of my TV, as I have never been able to swing season tix, rooting and yelling loud enough to be heard all the way to Qwest, but my brain tells my heart to be ready for the gut wrenching of another pitiful performance. What does it all mean? Means that I’ll need more beer.
