No real surprises in Seattle’s inactive list, just announced in the press box.

As expected, cornerback Kelly Jennings (hamstring) and Walter Thurmond (head) will not play today, so Roy Lewis will get his first career start at corner.

OL Russell Okung (ankle) did not practice all week and will not play today. Tyler Polumbus will start in his place.

Ol Chester Pitts, as Pete Carroll alluded to on Friday, will be active for the first time this season. With Jennings and Thurmond out, Nate Ness will come in and play corner on the outside and Lewis will play on the slot when Seattle goes with six defensive backs.

Receiver Brandon Stokley (oblique), was a limited participant in practice and will play today. Fullback Michael Robinson (hamstring) is not active today, and Oakland native Quinton Ganther will start.

Here’s the full list. We still have not received Oakland’s inactive list, but I’ll update the post when we get it.

CB Kelly Jennings
FB Michael Robinson
CB Walter Thurmond

OL Allen Barbre
OL Russell Okung
TE Anthony McCoy
DT Brandon Mebane

so is that giacomini guy a backup tackle or is he still on the practice squad?

  2. Dukeshire says:

Seattle’s rush has to be strong today. No Bandit today either, I’d imagine. I wonder if we’ll see Thomas playing some cover as they run dime. Kam and Milloy in deep cover 2?

  3. I’m excited to see Nate Ness play, he could end up being a great corner or perhaps a safety?

49ers are having their hands full with Denver, the Cowboys are getting their ass handed to them, come on Seahawks make this Sunday perfect with a win!

  4. Dukeshire says:

Dallas is awful. The Jets / Packer game is a defensive special. Clay Matthews is everything we with Curry was. Just a heady, relentless, great football player.

  5. williambryan: Breno Giacomini is on the practice squad.

  6. What a turnaround in London. Denver might pull it out though.
