I got a couple emails this morning about this, and John Boyle of the Everett Herald hunted down the clip. South Park spoofed the movie “Inception” during last night’s show and briefly used Matt Hasselbeck as a character in explaining the dream within a dream sequence. Check out the video below. They don’t use Hasselbeck’s voice in the clip. We’ll have a chance to ask Hasselbeck about the show later today.

LMAO. How random. I love it. Although, he is from Boulder, so I guess it makes some sense. I can’t wait to hear what he has to say about it.

  2. that is random indeed . .

  3. I love South Park. Too bad I don’t watch it much anymore (don’t want my 4-year old seeing it). lol

  4. BobbyAyala says:

    Matt’s from Boulder?

I thought he was from New England…

Yes, very random, but that’s the MO of Matt & Trey.

Nice to get a little Seahawks love.

  5. BobbyAyala says:

A little 12th Man Bulletin Board Material courtesy of some Cardinal fans on

“Go Mad Max!!! The Sea Chickens and their lame fans are overrated. Mad Max has already accomplished what Matt Leinart and D.A. were not able to do and that is get the ball to Larry Fitz. I see these two having a huge game on Sunday.”

“The Cardinals are going to rain on the Seahawks’ parade Sunday.

I expect a physical performance from the Red Bird’s defense en route to a solid lead in the NFC West.

Seattle has one chance: Marshawn Lynch. By that I mean if the Cardinals get a good look at him, they might turn to stone. That dude is UGLY!”

“whatever! Hasselsack and the Seahacks can’t stop us… we’re cruising through this division….”

“SEA hasn’t showed up against the Cardinals in a long time, regardless of venue. The 12th man can’t play defense against the Cards WR.”

“The Seachickens are overrated, period. The last time I checked, the coach couldn’t get the “12th man” to cover Larry, Steve, and Early.”

And, amazingly, one smart Arizona fan: “not an apologist but, those are some loud (inappropriate term) fans up there. and the whole city loves em. not like here where you have raider bars, stealer bars, niner bars,………. cowpie fans stay home n drink bud light. anyways, impressive fan base”

  6. Dukeshire says:

BobbyAyala – He went to BC but he grew up in Colorado.

  7. BobbyAyala says:

Reading through more of this Card Fan banter, it’s highly amusing. There’s a lot of blind homerism, which is fine, but there are a handful of Card fans who believe this is a loss for them.

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve been so excited for Sunday.

    Finally, a big game.

Can’t wait to see what Pete and the troops have in store.

  8. CaliSeahawker says:

Don’t get too excited folks. I smell a very very very close game. If it’s a blowout, I’ll be surprised. Praying we make a major statement this Sunday!

  9. ryanpeper says:

#8 did not grow up in Boulder Colorado. Great cameo. Wonder if he knows.

  10. Dukeshire says:

Good thing blind homerism would never happen here… lol

Cali’s right, this is going to be a hard fought game. The Cards think this is their division now and they aren’t going down without a fight. That said, I can’t wait for the ‘Hawks to take back what’s theirs. I’m pumped for this game, too.

  11. Dukeshire says:

ryanpeper – Well, he was there at some point because he was born in Boulder, that’s a fact. Perhaps shouldn’t presume to know for certain where he grew up however.

  12. South Park co-creator Trey Parker owns a condo in Belltown, maybe he’s a member of the 12th man ?

  13. Carlsonkid says:

    From Wikipedia :

    No. 8 Seattle Seahawks
    Personal information
Date of birth: September 25, 1975 (age 35)
    Place of birth: Boulder, Colorado
    Height: 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) Weight: 225 lb (102 kg)

Matt was born in Boulder , I’ve seen it printed in newspaper articles before also .

  14. Dukeshire says:

    perhaps *I* shouldn’t…

  15. I think this game will be like the niners game. I believe the Hawks are juiced and the 12th Man is only going to get them more rabbid. Maxie Pad is going to have a long day, whether he’s on his back or getting picked by Thomas. Also, I’m seeing Brotha Lynch running for at least a hundo and Forsett right behind him. Plus, I want to see some screens thrown to Washington as a bonus. For some reason, I don’t really see this one being close. GO HAWKS

  16. BobbyAyala says:

Regardless of where Matt was born, he pimps the Celtics and Red Sox, so his “hometown” is somewhere in New England.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s going to be a close game.

    Look at these factors:

Rookie QB in Qwest against an agressive defense. Advantage: C’mon.

Beanie Wells & Tim Hightower versus the No. 2 rated rush defense at home. Advantage: Please.

Overconfident franchise versus up-and-comer at home. Advantage: No contest.

Not saying it will be a blowout, but, yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying.

If the Hawks don’t win by 10 or more, I’ll be surprised.

  17. Dukeshire says:

I don’t know if anyone caught this, but Lynch ran out of gas and Forsett had to push. From his Twitter page. lol …

Carlsonkid: If you are going to pull things from an article you better make sure you get all of the information. From the same article:

“Matt and younger brothers Tim Hasselbeck and Nathanael grew up in Norfolk, Massachusetts”

  19. I heard he was born in Africa and he’s Muslim.

  20. JAMAN8901 says:

    Hey All,

Go Hawks. Question: I used to listen to the hawks on a radio station outta Anchorage “the fox”, but they don’t play them this year. Anyone know a radio station that streams the hawks? Live in ohio and would love to listen to the game Sunday. Cardinals suck

  21. rramstad says:

    And he hates America.

  22. bayareahawkfan says:

    Not complicated on Hass, here:

Oldest kid, born in Boulder when his dad was attending UCB and playing football there. Moved to Mass when his dad played (TE) for the Pats, and grew up there.

Was a ball-boy when Hugh Millen played there (hence the Millen love).

I remember a story in the last Redskins-Seahawks playoff game against Todd Collins (the infamous “21” game, 2007?) about how Collins and Hass were both prized QB prospects in the NE area, and Matt actually went to a different high school based on the fact that Collins was entrenched at one of the schools.

  23. Since PC seems to have succeeded in his BWM project, anyone think he should take a shot at JaMarcus Russell next year?

  24. Dukeshire says:

Dear god no. No thank you, please.

  25. Duke is a firm believer in Leinart or Booty, er both.
Curious. Using BWM as an example why would you mention JaMarcus Russell who has been rated as the biggest bust ever. Stupid, lazy, self proclaimed greatest QB to walk the planet. It was the surrounding talent not him. worse than Ryan Leaf in some aspects?

  26. Russell is too much of a moron.

  27. Re: quotes from BobbyA

I find it hilarious that a Cards fan would call another team overrated… AZ has got to be the worst 3-2 team in the NFL and I still can’t understand how they beat the Saints.

  28. Canfan – BMW (with the help of Gigi, Laila, and Ava Williams) seems to have succeeded in his BMW project. He had to come around in his own time, when he saw for himself it was time. Wonderful story PC gave him the environment to achieve in, true, but it took BMW to recommit to it. If JaMarcus Russell could find that same place in his life, that same love of the game to strive for excellence in, then maybe. From what it’s sounded like early this preseason, JR isn’t there yet. Maybe he’s never gonna get there again, it’s up to him. Kinda think Haynesworth is in a similar situation, too.

  29. Dukeshire says:

excile – Lol, yes. Both elite talents.

By the way, in the Hass cameo, when Sharon asks “who’s Hasselbeck?”, and they cut to Matt, is he licking his fingers? Lol, I can’t tell if that’s what he’s doing, but I hope so. Classic.

  30. SandpointHawk says:

    Cali…where is the photo?

  31. Duke – freeze frame and Hass has brown hair. How could they have made such a mistake! The thumb on the left hand seems to be on the wrong side. The right hand looks to be clinched in a fist so no tongue action, sorry ladies. Hasselbeck should complain.

  32. yeah, where is raible online so i can hear him call the game while watching it on tv.

  33. Dukeshire says:

excile – I see, yes. It’s like he hasn’t cleaned up the “horeshoe” with a razor, in a while. And you’re right, the right hand is in a fist, no licking the fingers. Must not be a pass. The thumb on the left hand is correct, just typically awkward drawing. “Sorry ladies…” lol

  34. I’m not concerned about the licking being a tell. Hass seems to turn fingers into a tootsie pop when he is off target. Another quirk he has developed is patting the ball before delivery while it is still in a down position.

  35. Random Thought:

With a couple more really strong years and maybe another pro-bowl this year does Lawyer Milloy have a shot at Canton? Input from people who saw him play a lot earlier in his career would be would be appreciated. Stat breakdown vs current HoF members would be massively appreciated.
