Despite being placed on IR last week, Leroy Hill has been suspended without pay for a week by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Here is the NFL’s press release:

Leroy Hill of the Seattle Seahawks has been suspended without pay for the team’s next game and fined one additional game check for violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

Hill’s suspension begins immediately. Per league policy, players on injured reserve who are suspended under the drug, steroid or personal conduct policies serve those suspensions while they are on injured reserve.

So, the real punishment is the loss of a game check. I presume that’s the last we’ll hear from Leroy as a Seahawk. A promising start completely undermined by self-destructive behavior. Hopefully for him, he can figure it out and get his career back on track somewhere.

By the way, look at Ian pulling double duty today.

talk about self-destructive behavior, have you seen how Matt Hasselbeck has played the last four games? Now that’s destructive. haha
