  1. Guess this is supposed to be Eric’s Fire-wire-side Chat.

  2. Mr Williams, I hope you also chat about what you’d like to see the Hawks do this week to best prepare for and compete with the Chargers.

  3. I’m curious to hear if Hugh Millen gives Matt the same kid’s gloves treatment that he gave Mora last year. Hass has lost his nerve and without the home crowd on his side to bolster him it really shows.

  4. Mora looks like a buffoon next to Brian Billick on NFL Network.

  5. Of course he would look like a buffoon next to Bozo the Clown.

Okay guys, don’t get annoyed by this, but I’m going to post this quite a bit in the next few days in the hopes that the right person sees it:

Does anyone have two tickets to this weeks Hawks game (lower level) for sale?

  7. I think Eric’s response to one of the chat posts is right – this Hawks team has a real small margin of error when it comes to getting a win against a decent team. Hass’ picks and the muffed punt took away that margin. Defense needs to figure out how to get a pass rush going on the road too.

Have to admit, I wish we had a weaker opponent in week 3, to possibly get some of the week 1 momentum back. And I’m hoping N.O. crushes the remaining SF hopes tonight . . .

  8. snydro22 says:

No hopes can be crushed in week 2. Just sayin.

And we can beat San Diego. They are very beatable. Especially at Qwest. Hopefully I will be there if someone will sell me some tickets!

  9. Dukeshire says:

    NFL Ticket Exchange no good?

  10. Snydro – I assume you’ve tried craigslist, yes? I got tix to the Hawks-49ers game in SF on there last year – all worked out great.

  11. snydro22 says:

Yeah I’ve checked all the obvious places, but everything is still really inflated because the game is a week away..

Hopefully by thursday or friday the ticket prices are only double their face value..

  12. wabubba67 says:

I might know another teacher at my school that is still trying to sell her tickets. The bad news is that I think they are not in the lower level. Face value, though.

  13. snydro22 says:

Cool, wabubba.. If you find out some info for me, like where they are and how much, I’d really appreciate it. I would definitely pay extra to a teacher. Especially one who’s a Hawks fan..

  14. wabubba67 says:

I’ll ask her tomorrow, and then post on this thread again. Good luck!

  15. snydro – week 1 — we got 2 tickets from a guy who reads this blog. Met him and his wife outside of a bar (face value). We got our other 2 tickets in the bar (guy had a phone and “bought” tickets on stubhub the morning of the game — when some get a bit more deparate to sell). We only had to go for about $20 over face value. There’s some bar a few blocks from FX’s where people who buy from stubhub the day of the game go to and have a pick-up/drop-off. By the time he got there, his name was on an envelope and he picked up the tickets. We had to sit in two separate groups of two — but it was a heck of a lot of fun and I assume you’re only looking for one or two tickets?

  16. Nevermind. Looks like you may have an “in.”

  17. wabubba67 says:

Sorry, snydro. She only has tickets left for the Falcons game on 12/19. They are in the corner, 300 level, and $52 each (she has 2).
