I was just told that WR Sean Morey has retired this morning, so the Seahawks now have 11 receivers on the roster. Morey, 34, was expected to contribute mostly on special teams, but had had issues with concussions in the past.

I’m surprised by this, to a degree. I could not for the life of me, figure out what role on a team rebuilding themselves around youth he would fill. To me, he was always far to specific and one dimensional to compete for a roster spot in their situation.
Well, a spot has just opened up for someone to step into… Thomas. Okung. Just go ahead and lay your autographs on the dotted line.

The active roster this morning was 83, morey was given the option to retire or be cut so Tate could practice.
