Now 37 years old, former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Bobby Engram will be reuniting with Mike Holmgren, inking a deal with the Cleveland Browns today.
The 14-year veteran was cut by Kansas City during the season last year, but with the Browns shifting toward more of a West Coast offense, Engram will serve as a mentor for Cleveland’s young receivers. And he joins former Seahawks Seneca Wallace and Floyd “Pork Chop” Womack already on the roster.
I like Bobby (except for the dropped first down pass on a third down in SB XL) and I wish him the best, but Father Time eventually gets the best of us and I think he’s gotten to Engram too.
I get back after an 11-day absense and read my email (Bleacher Report) and realize I should never read them again. Matt is going to lose his job before the season? And all of Dave/Eric’s analysis have been clear in their view that Matt is easily our best player at that position? They (BR) are about to get blocked. Stupidity. Unless I missed something? They seem to be National Enq. II.
Maybe I should start a rumor that the Seahawks are going to trade Mebane to the Dolphins for a 4th round pick in the 2087 draft. It’d have about as much “credibility.”

Sept. 12 isn’t too far away!

^… evidently not. DirecTV bill included NFL Sunday Ticket early renewal in 6 payments of 49.99. Preseason games not included. Sucks being I’m outta the Hawks telecast area.
Browns bring back Engram after once having Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. The Winslow to Tampa trade netted Mohamed Massaquoi WR Georgia 2009 draft. Promising young WR that led the Browns with 34 rec for 624 yards. Edwards rookie year stats: 32 rec, 512 yds.
Good luck to BobbyE in his position as mentor.

Jerry Rice played ’till he was 40, quit when he dropped to 4th WR. Wouldn’t be surprised if Bobby had a good year with the Browns. Betcha Holmgren wishes CLE had a better cleaning program in their training/rehab/etc facility – Joe Jureviscious would probably still be a heckova WR if he hadn’t contracted staph.

Excile,
Is that the best way to watch the games from out of state? Seems awfully expensive. I’m moving soon so im weighing my options.

Well, if not I’m overspending! lol
I live in vegas having sports books or the bar. Now that does get expensive and doesn’t offer TIVO. NFL Ticket is well worth the price. Plus the DVR allows review automatic. Nothing like it for those of us from the past.
