Eric Williams, Ryan Divish and Rob Rang all picking the Seahawks to win this week at St. Louis? Will Seattle improve on its anemic rushing attack in the next six weeks? And everyone knows Rams running back Steven Jackson will get the ball on Sunday, but can the Seahawks stop him?

As always, we answer those questions and preview the matchup against St. Louis in this week’s Seahawks Insider podcast, which you can listen to here.

  1. I agree that it doesn’t matter who our RB is behind this OL… it’s simply too terrible to allow almost any RB to look good…

And before we throw the Forsett kool aid off the bus because of his performance against MN, lets not forget he had over 80 yards receiving in that game. And most of it was because of his running ability after the catch.

  2. chuck_easton says:

My paper today said to go with St. Louis to win the game even though Boller will be the QB.

Seattle gets no love outside of the PNW.

  3. Dukeshire says:

Seattle has been getting love inside the PNW?

  4. snydro22 says:

    Seattle deserves love?

  5. It’s funny there was so much talk about Brandon Gibson. I remember some of us talking about him and thinking he’d be a fine mid/late round pick. And then Ruskell trades a 5th (that could have been used on him), a 7th, and a 3rd rounder next year to get Butler. And Gibson is clearly proving to be better, up to this point. It’s always easier to say this “should” have happened after the fact, but this is one more example for the anti-Ruskell people to latch onto about why he needs to go (and it’s valid).

  6. Anyone else watching Suh today? The’re up 7-0.

  7. Dukeshire says:

    Seattle needs love.

  8. And we need a few OL, DL, a FS, and RB too:)

  9. mkelly534 says:

I would not want to watch Suh. There is no chance he will be around when Seattle picks. However, it would be a nice dream. A dominent D-Lineman would turn this team into a terror. We have all the complimentary pieces on defense, we just need the Alpha Male player to make us very good.

  10. Trades, my friend:) And in Duke’s words, you’re right, we need a “cornerstone” player for that side of the ball.

  11. Suh is the the DL what Walt is to the OL. Colorado and double teaming him on every play and he still sheds them like they’re in a pee week league. And, he’s all over the field…unbelievable.

    Yeah Seattle needs love…unconditional love!

  12. That INT was all on Suh/Dillard forcing the QB into that rushed throw. Doesn’t get in the stat sheet as a tackle or sack, but it is an “impactful” play. We need some “impactful” players.

  13. Dukeshire says:

Suh has had an awesome game to this point. I cannot wait to see him against Texas next week.

  14. I love it when teams you’re playing against miss FGs.

  15. snydro22 says:

I hope Jimmy Clausen is around when we pick. I hate Notre Dame, and I especially hate their QB’s, but he might be the real deal.. Of course, I would prefer both first-rounders to be used on getting stronger along the trenches, but if we can’t go OL/DL or OL/OL – then I hope we get our QB of the future.. I would not be a fan of drafting Spiller.. I think 2nd round is where we would look at a RB, but I would lean towards a safety depending upon who is available.. Let’s not forget that the draft is only half of the offseason equation, with FA leading up to the draft being just as important if not more-so.

Here is a question I’m curious to see the answer to – Forget the O-line for a second, would you have have Clausen/Best or Locker/Best or Locker/Spiller or Clausen/Spiller? Which combo of those 4 position players would you most want?

  16. Suh = Warren Sapp. Sapp started being an impact player after the first 2-3 seasons, and stayed a high-motor guy getting lotsa pressure for 6-7 years. He was still an effective DT for several years thereafter.
