Nothing too unusual in today’s inactive list. FB Owen Schmitt is inactive for the first time this season. With only one fullback available, Schmitt being inactive would lead you to believe we will see more three and four receiver sets from Seattle.
Defensive tackle Red Bryant is inactive this week instead of Craig Terrill, with Arizona being more of a passing team.
For Arizona, linebackers Chike Okeafor and Gerald Hayes are inactive today. Ali Highsmith will start for Hayes for the second straight week, and Bertrand Berry will start for Okeafor.
Here’s the full list

Nothing unusual? I think Schmitt inactive for the first time all year qualifies. Did he sustain an injury in practice? Is there something else that hasn’t been reported. I understand they may throw it more but he’s proven to have steady hands out of the backfield. From purely a blocking aspect, Knapp seems to throw it to the FB (at least in recent weeks) as keep him in to pick up the blitz. So to me, it unusual.
Terrill played a ton against them last time. More Mebane and Cole, less Terrill this week. PLEASE!

I know Wrotto was drafted with the smash mouth run blocking of Mike Holmgren in mind, but he’s certainly been disappointing. I know he’s not exactly ZBS material (neither is Ray Willis)… but what is the ZBS if you’re 4th and 1??? Doesn’t there come a point where every once in awhile you need to line up from your man and kick his ass?

Denver 17, Washington 17
About 4:30 remaining… Redskins driving in Denver territory!!!

Bobby, one would hope, shove it right down their throats. Unlike the 4th and 1 last week.

I really do love Unger… but he’s not a shove it down your throat guard like the 4th and 1 situation last week where he has a man directly over him (who is normally much bigger)… I love him at Center though in the mold of many of the good/great athletic technician types. And I don’t mind an entire side of a line being ZBS material, like a athletic LT/LG… as long as one side can be relied on to kick ass when the time comes. Having Willis at RT is a great start and if we could add one kick ass RG… then we’d have a strength and dependability on short yardage situations. That’s all I ask – to be able to kick ass on 3rd and 1 and normally know you’re going to make it.
In other news… Broncos are down 7 with 2:44 remaining.

Barring crazy last second heroics (like their lucky win against the Bengals in week 1) the Broncos are going to lose 24-17 in Washington.
