KC cut Johnson because he's not the player he once was. When guys in any pro sport are still producing, teams fall all over themselves to figure out reasons and excuses to keep them playing.

I really like what Forsett brings to the team. He's such a good bet to make the first guy miss on those short passes - and he's our only shifty runner.

I look at this game as a solid recovery from a ridiculous start - it was crazy to again dig ourselves that kind of hole, and it's a nice sign that we came back and dominated the way we did. It's against a lousy team - but it's still definitely a positive.

One personal note - went to Vegas this weekend with friends and for all of us bettors - with the seahawks giving up 10 pts, and up by 5 with less than a minute to play - man, you should have seen us go crazy when Wilson returned that INT for a TD . . .a play meaningless to everyone but the gamblers.

They have released Duckett and James and brought Rankin aboard in an effort, at least in part, to see what they have moving forward. Johnson is a step backward, is this particular situation. He's not coming to Seattle.

LJ was a product of the dominant Chiefs OL. After Roaf, Shields, etc. left town... they became terrible (that's funny, OL = potent attack)... Behind the 'Hawks OL, LJ won't do anything more than JJ or Forsett.

Personally I don't think Larry Johnson is the answer. JJ is a good reciever out of the backfield, but as a pure runner, a lot of flash but no gas.Give the ball to Forsett and or Rankin lets see if they can make a differance. Matt needs a running game to help keep the defense off of his back. A win against the Cards next week, would be very sweet.

KC cut their RB L.Johnson today. I know he was less productive and disgruntled
this year. Is he worth going after and putting-up with the hissy-fits by Seattle homosexual community ?
No matter what, i don't care about JJ and can't see him as our RB any longer bad OL or not. Maybe L.J. can "tie us up" for the next 1 to 2 years until we can draft somebody that is worth paying top money. Besides Engram from the Alabama , I don't see anything else that is so exceptional in the college right now.
Obviously, I disagree with BobbyK about J.Best (RB @ Cal)and wasting a high pick on him. I'd rather spend 5th round pick on (re-instated)RB Blount from Oregon , or that "white-boy"tank from Stanford that rushed for 220+ yards against the Ducks (when Best couldn't get even 70 yards against Oregon or USC).

The more I see the Offense the more I hate it. I did like the decision to go 4th and 1 but the play calling sucks, come on run a short yardage play with 1 back? We have two good blocking FB's and we run with 1 back. STUPID, with our HOF line we expect to make short yardage with 1 back. Maybe its time to bring in a Defensive player in the bakfield to go in and destroy someone with a block to show how its done(too much of a gimmick) (but a hey guys your jobs in jeopardy)
We can't run the ball at all. Too many sideways plays for 0 yards, the game is won by gaining yards not going sideways or backwards.
HEY TIMMAY, ITS THE O LINE STUPID!!! FIX IT
I did like the fight in the team and that they didn't mail it in this time after going down 17 AGAIN.
We cant start games down 17 in 5 minutes and expect to win very many. At least it was the Lions.
Still think our special teams suck but had a couple of nice returns and defensively need a lot of work too many yards given up to every team we play. Our D has the pieces but the playcalling again sucks.
QUIT the soft zone crap, MAN UP, Play Some Defense.
Every team has picked us apart all year with our wonderful give them what they want zone.
Was it me or early on did it look like our safety and cb let passes for scores just get there with no fight? Sure looked like tyhey just let the ball get there without trying to knock it down. I was at the game so maybe it was the angle but man swing an arm in there at least try to knock it out.
With all the woes I still think we have a chance at the division, but its very slight. Have to beat the TARDS yes they still are the TARDS and we need to Win a stinking road game.
HEY MORRA pack up the team load them on busses and drive to Phoenix starting today, stop at no where High Schools and Practice on the way High elevation ones, run some burners in practice, camp in tents or crappy hotels, these guys have it too easy, change up the routine it has not worked for 10 years now.
This would help to unify the team and maybe put a little fight back to the team, I think right now there is a little people playing for themselves over team going on.
Any way I'm on happy pills from my knee surgury Friday

Well, in fairness to those who feel this team "still sucks" or is "still terrible" after a win, they are operating under the impression that they are built to win now. This is clearly not the case, despite beliefs to the contrary prior to the season. If the pieces were all in place to compete in January, yesterday's win would be rather alarming or a wake up call at best; 3 fumbles (lost 1), 6 penalties against a team with 1 win (including 12 men on field that kept a scoring drive alive), 55 yards rushing, gave up an ave of 5.4 per rush, inability to control clock,, etc... Point being, it was a sloppy performance by a team that started very slowly again. They have look thoroughly unprepared to play when the game starts several times this year. However, this team is not ready to compete in January. They are (in my view) 2 good offseasons and drafts away. There are holes at critical positions (o-line, safety, running back, DT). All of that said, there were bright spots and there is a young, talented corp they will continue to build around. Yes, a win is a win and this team isn't in a position to take them for granted, but not all wins are the same and this game does not have a satisfying feeling.
