I want the SeaHawks to play well and win some games. Milloy had game when he as young. Times have changed and so has he. And a couple people have it right. He gets toasted a lot now. Young speed is faster than the Corner Back and the Safety. I think catch up speed is a great thing to have and younger players have it. I hope his tackling ability is solid so he can help stop the run. Thirty six is not old in regular life but it is in football. I just think it's hard to keep up with twenty year olds. I wish the Seahawks the best and I hope they win the division. No disrespect or anything but Branch is always hurt. Returning punts and kicks is not a good thing. He will be hurt all over again and out for the season and no use to the team. The wide outs on the practice squad will be back playing regular season games real soon.

When Milloy is in the game he'll be the SS and either Grant or Babs will be the FS.

Seattle claims their Safeties are 'interchangeable' so the titles of SS and FS really don't apply.

Nighthawk,
As i understand ti, they don't expect him to...they will put him at strong safety, most likely in passing downs.

I don't know how they expect Milloy to play free safety effectively at age 36. I saw that playoff game Bobby mentioned and this guy cannot cover half the field anymore. The idea of Grant and Babineaux starting is a lot more appealing. Always thought the number 96 should have been retired.

I can't wait for the first time that Lawyer Milloy pops off some guys helmet coming across the middle of the field. Something that NEVER HAPPENED during the Brian Russell era.

Seahawksfan57 - This may have been answered for you, but if a team chooses not to "waive" the opportunity to sign a player, and puts in a claim for him, he must be signed to the 53 man roster. But if each team in the league waives that opportunity and he passes through and "clears waivers" then that player can be signed to a teams PS (assuming he has eligibility.) I was confused about that as well, but I believe that is the gist of it. The Seahawks didn't waive on Frye and claimed him when they were up, thus the 53 man roster. Eric, is that about right?

The real interesting thing is that the NFL doesn't have any of the Seahawks practice squad signings recorded. Most of the teams have theirs on the site, but the hawks are among the teams that do not.

Oh well - maybe the paper work just isn't filed yet, or processed

The Seahawk press release sounds inaccurate to me. It would have been more accurate to say "signed off waivers from " instead of "claimed off waivers."
