Just received the players not suiting up for Seattle and rookie linebacker Aaron Curry is one of them.

Curry suffered a strained groin at the team’s Tuesday night practice at the University of Washington and did not practice the rest of the week. Head coach Jim Mora had been concerned about Curry’s legs with him only practicing a little over a week and the possibility of Curry injuring the leg further, so it appears the team is taking a cautious approach to the injury. With Curry not starting D.D. Lewis likely will get the start in his place.

However, it looks like Lawrence Jackson might play today, as he is not on the list.

Also not suiting up for Seattle are Marcus Trufant, Grey Ruegamer, Walter Jones and Nate Burleson.

  1. Dukeshire says:

Is Burleson out because of the knee or hammy? Thanks Eric and have fun tonight.

Well, Im a Seahawks fan down here in Florida.

What sucks is this Redskins-Stealers game is dragging on like crazy…

I hope it ends in time because i dont want to miss anything.

  3. Dukeshire: Burleson is sitting out officially because of his hamstring, but it’s also probably to rest the knee a bit, too. They want to get these young receivers some more plays, so there’s no need to play Burleson tonight.

honestly is there a better front 7 in football then
i really wanna know is there?

  5. Probably Minnesota (even though I hate them). We don’t have anyone as good as Jared Allen or Kevin Williams, although I do think Mebane is going to have the kind of year that gets him mentioned with the best (assuming we win and the pub is there). Pat Williams and Cole can probably play to a draw (based on what I think they will do in ’09 — it doesn’t matter that Fat Pat had been better in previous years — it’s what’ll happen in ’09 that counts). Although I do think we’re better at 2 of the 3 LB positions. I do think we have better depth along the DL though. MN doesn’t have anyone as good for “depth” purposes as Tapp or Bryant (I think Bryant is going to have a good year). Either way, I think we’re sitting good, as I think our DBs are better than what they have overall (assuming Trufant is healthy). It’d definitely going to be an exciting, fun year.
