The results of our informal and totally unscientific poll, counted through the comments section of last night’s report from practice on whether or not you’d like to see the Seattle Seahawks wear the alternative, green jerseys, are totaled.
And, not so surprisingly, the green jerseys were voted down.
But not by much, as folks in the comment section voted 17-10 against the jerseys, with more people than I thought actually saying they would like to see the lime green jerseys at Qwest Field on Sunday.
Must be that Sounders fever bubbling over to the Seahawks fan base.

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com takes another shot at T.J. Houshmandzadeh in his 10-pack on old guys in new uniforms with big expectations.
Here’s an excerpt.
The former Bengal has been aiming high and talking big regarding his potential impact in Seattle.
Some believe the career No. 2 receiver won’t be the same without Chad Ochocinco to draw double coverage. So it remains to be seen whether Houshmandzadeh will emerge as a threat for the Seahawks, or whether he’ll be the next Alvin Harper and/or Peerless Price.
For now, I’ll assume it’s the latter.

Mike Florio – this man seems very ignorant and dosen’t know what he is talking about
also… i would to see the lime green jerseys! the hawks need to show some flair and swagger! burelson, TJ, hill, kerney, mebane, trufant, and lucas bring most of seattle’s flair and swagger!
had Vick and maybe trade for thomas jones and the flair and swagger meter sky rockets!

Actually it was more like 1016-10, since I voted for a thousand “no”s.

However, what I am dying for the Hawks to adopt is the blue pants on the road. White on white looks terrible with blue sleeves and helmet. I’m used to the blue on blue since there’s no way to balance it out any other way with dark helmets. But man the white on white is awful, while the blue pants with white jersey is easily the best uniform in the league.

Mad, I hear ya…hate the white pants…
Eric, 17-10 is not by much? That’s almost a 2-1 ratio…..(statistics not your bag?) Granted, it’s only a touchdown, but the anti greens had the momentum throughout the contest, despite a couple of pushes by the greenies…all in all, I’d say it was a convincing victory:)

Any chance the Browns would want D. Branch for a pick, say 3rd or 4th rounder? Would save the Hawks some dough.
Is a healthy trio of Nate, TJ, and JC enough for Matt?
Could the other WR’s fill in?
Hummm….
Maybe the Browns knew this was coming and are okay with what they currently have.

About this unis, what I think would be cool is if they did a mixture of throwback uniforms with the new logos and colors. That’d look pretty cool imo. Saturday is aallmmoosstt hheerree

Also I have a question for anyone that knows the answer, I’ve noticed the NFL Network picked up the Seahawks vs Chargers game… will it still be showed locally or am I going to have to go to a friends place that has the NFL Network? lol

Something has been goofy with this blog lately… couldn’t get on it for the last day (something about an internal error about getting on the site)… but now it’s like it never existed.
I would love to see the lime green jersey tops once per season. And I hate the ugly, blue pants we always wear with our blue tops. We look like a bunch of jr. varsity clowns from the old USFL days or something (or arena league). The blue pants are fine with white tops, but that’s it.
Just on opinion that I’m entitled to.

Well i didn’t get to vote last night so I would have said yes to lime green. Why not?

17-12, uh oh, the greenies are catching up.

twocolorcrayon – According to King’s TV schedule the pre game is 6:30, game at 7:00. Should be available.

Yes on the green jerseys. Why not? Its not like the current Hawks uniforms are historical or popular outside Seattle. maybe this will get people to actually notice the Hawks.
As long as they don’t wear them at Qwest Field during a regular season game…
Deion Branch to Cleveland? That’d be okay. But imagine how quickly he’d get his staph infection. Isn’t that what players get who go to Cleveland?

Nick and AK,
Why not? because they’re hideous, that’s why not…you asked:)

I was just going to add that. Why in hell would you want the ‘Hawks to be noticed for that? It’s like wanting to be noticed for being the drunkest guy at a party.

LOL @ Comparison …. Btw I read last year seahawks had one of he most popular jerseys last year when voted among players around the league.

CDHawkFan asks: Any chance the Browns would want D. Branch for a pick, say 3rd or 4th rounder?
If I were going to do something like that I rather trade with St. Louis. They have a grand total of zero receivers and are going to finish the season with a top five draft position.
