Great reports, guys!

What about Colin Cole? Chris Spencer?

I know it is always difficult in practice to get a good view of the battles in the middle of the line, but I'm very interested to watch the battles at DT and C.

Is Colin Cole looking like the starter he was purported to be? At this point, with the position changes on the O line, I would expect Cole to have the opportunity to bust through while the O lineman are in disarray. If he isn't, then I hope to see Red Bryant get his chance with the starters.

What signs are there that Spencer's back is healthy or not? Is he staying in all plays with the first unit? Or are they giving him lots or breaks?

Just like last year (when Tubbs and Spencer both went down and our interior were weakened) I always look to these big men in the middle of the lines to show me that we have the strength in the trenches we need to make everything else work.

More is better! Eric is doing a great job but he only has 2 eyes and can't be everywhere at once. The more that people see the better it is for us that can't be there.

Hi guys,

I normally just read and not post but, I'll be attending the practice this afternoon at 3:30 with my grandson and will will watch the guys you've been pointing out and will try to add my own observations later.

Should be a fun time. My grandson is 13 and just getting interested in football and sports. He's got a ways to go to get in good enough shape but, he's started working out and is motivated. This visit to the training camp should help in that regard.

Keep the feedback coming. We have so many questions this year that it really helps to hear how the question-mark players are doing.

Regards,

Looks like I have some folks angling for my job. Good updates fellas, the more information the merrier. Also nice to have people confirming what I've already written.

Devisscher: Bryant's still working with the second unit. Craig Terrill worked with the first unit in place of Mebane. Bryant's backing up Colin Cole.

I guess I was not as impressed with Teel, but I could not see all the offensive part of practice. I was on the end where they were doing more defensive drills. Teel has the weakest arm in camp; even Rowe has a stronger arm than Teel. That doesn’t mean he can’t be effective, but he is not going to be slinging 60 yards passes. If Teel is going to be effective, it is going to be based on accuracy and decision making so arm strength is not everything, but he looks like a Pennington type at best to me.

Thanks Tompage and HawksKD and of course Eric.

I like what I am hearing about the running game. Though when the D can really tackle, it may change a bit . . . Can't wait to see Forsett, Teel, Butler (Curry??) in preseason.

Tompage / HawksKD,

Okay, guys...are you trying to make Eric look bad?! Those reports were the two best updates that I have read on here in a very long time. Eric, my friend...THAT is how it's done!

I'm really hoping you guys make it to more practices because I'm in San Diego and can't attend.

Tompage / HawksKD - Great job fellas. Awesome info! I'm stoked about Forsett and Wilson, two of my favorite 'Hawks having great camps.

That's 2 reports I've read now about Teel that are positive, a great sign, early.
