week 7 bye. Going into that 4-2 we would look pretty good.

  3. BORNHAWK says:

I dont like the 3 on the road but the week 7 bye looks sweet.

  4. hawkforever21 says:

Hmmmm……..looks like a 12-4……..maybe a 13-3 record. Wishful thinking anyways. A lot depends on what they can do with this draft.

  5. vichawkfan says:

only 2 teams have been stuck with 3 roads in a row. At least it’s not cross country.

  6. freedom_X says:

Looks like a home loaded early schedule – Seattle will need to get off to a fast start. Weird that they get sent to GB in December. If they start out slow, I don’t see them gelling on the brutal 3 game road trip.

  7. freedom_X says:

I didn’t see any prime-time games (i.e. Sunday night or Monday night) games. Am I mistaken?

Guess Cleveland was the cut-off point? (they got 2 games)

  8. I’m wondering the same thing about the Sundaynight or Mondaynight games?

  9. I totally think the 3 road games stretch is terrible

  10. NickHawk1 says:

WOW this is crap. NO primetime games!?!? ONLY 3 home games after week 7 bye!?!?!?

  11. nighthawk2 says:

Why should a 4-12 team get any primetime games?

At least the 3 straight road games aren’t at bad weather sites.
Two in a dome and the other at Arizona. Home opener and two straight division games.
Bad juju having a road game after the bye though, historically we haven’t done well the weeks after the bye. We’re lucky to have only one bad weather game, and not have to go to a hot weather site in the early going. Other than 3 straight on the road, not bad at all.

  12. no primetime games is rough when you’re not in the northwest. i always get stuck with giants and patriot games. last year is the first time i’ve seen more than 2 or 3 games a year, and that was just cuz i was overseas and could get it online. looks like this year it will be justin dot tv for me.

  13. hawks4372 says:

At Dallas after the bye will be tough but at least we’ll have better than a zero percent chance of winning it, unlike our chances when Holmgren was the coach. No coach in NFL history was a s inept at getting his team to play after the bye. Thank god those days are over- ten years too late though.

  14. goneshootin says:

“At least the 3 straight road games aren’t at bad weather sites.”

    Stupid comment.

First, this isn’t Holmgren’s precision offense any longer; or a 60/40 pass/run split where good weather is critical. With Knapp’s offense, the worse the weather, the better. Especially if our defense plays well.

Secondly, and more importantly, IT’S GOOD WEATHER FOR THE OTHER TEAM, TOO! It’s not like one’s canceled out.

  15. goneshootin says:

Instead, the problem with this schedule are the 10 AM starts.

It’s ridiculous that the NFL continues to allow these for the West Coast teams when, over the past 2 years, they’re a combined 10-40+ on the road in 10 am starts.

This isn’t JUST a Seahawk deal; none of the West Coast teams do well on 10 AM starts.

  16. Why is the season starting this late? Almost the middle of September! As for the ‘Hawks schedule, brutal! As for prime time games, c’mon the NFL doesn’t want teh suck(Network TV’s attitude of the Seahawks not mine) stinking up the national televised games though it happens anyway.

What I’m saying is if we have to go on the road three straight games, I’d prefer it’s in covered stadiums or a warm weather city. I’m well aware that it’s the same weather for both teams but teams like Green Bay, Chicago, the Giants and Jets, Buffalo, Cleveland, etc are a lot more acclimated to bad weather and love it for home games than a visting team is. As for “Knapps offense”, your making a huge assumption. Knapp has said that he plans on mixing the offense up with passing as well, that some games there may be a 150 yard rushing day and others might be a 300 yard passing day. Bad weather, when teams start putting 8 in the box, is going to limit opitions pretty much. Playing three straight road games with two in a dome and the third in a sunny city that has the option of a dome helps us more than the home team. I would think that would be obvious.
