Arizona free agent defensive end Antonio Smith signed a five-year, $35 million deal to play for the Texans, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The Cardinals lose an important player off of its talented defensive line with Smith’s departure, as the fracturing continues in Arizona.
Thank you for all of the updates Eric! This is like one-stop shopping for FA news that affects Seattle.

Sweet. Remeber this Most teams that lose the Super Bowl DONT make the playoff the next year. i do believe Seattle is the only team to do so in the last 10 years.

Just need Dockett and Wilson to get upset and hold out (which will doubly hurt them due to the new D-coordinator and their need to learn new schemes), and Warner to get mad at AZ (unlikely, but if he starts taking trips to other teams…) Combined with Boldin, that should derail the Cardinal train next year.

I think the Cardinals can come back at full strength next year and we will still take them out… assuming we’re healthy ourselves.
