First, the newsy injury stuff:

Leroy Hill seems to be getter better faster than anybody and there is a chance he could play against the Rams.

Matt Hasselbeck and Walter Jones are the same, neither will practice today, and both are listed as questionable. It sure didn’t sound to me like they were going to play, but very little about the injury stuff this year has been exact.

Josh Wilson, who had a concussion in Sunday’s game, will not practice today but will be ready to play against the Rams.

Most of Holmgren’s press conference has gone from the Xs and Os to the sort of philosophical questions regarding Holmgren’s state of mind as he enters the last three games of his career.

The one substantive thing he talked about was the offensive line. He said he thought Floyd Womack had the best game of his career against New England, and he thought Steve Vallos played very well, the final line call failure notwithstanding. The reason I said it sounds like Walter was not playing is Holmgren started talking about the line in the final three games and he basically said if this is the unit until the end, it will give them a good chance to evaluate them to determine exactly what they have as they head into next season. Holmgren said he thought they needed to add a few linemen, though he was not specific. He also said he did not think there was a danger of overconfidence this week based on last week just because of the makeup of the unit.

Regarding the RBs, Holmgren said Mo Morris will start again, but Julius and Duckett will both play. Holmgren insisted that Julius not playing was merely an oversight because Mo and Duckett were running so well against the Pats, and that Julius will get in the game again. Still, if all three are playing, the most anybody will probably get is eight or 10 carries.
