Our old friend Jerramy Stevens spoke to the Pewter Report, a web site devoted to covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Right here you can read that Stevens is actually not a bad guy, as we all wrongly assumed when he was arrested 327 times in 2 months.
*
Ya know…Young and immature guys with millions of dollars who suddenly get thrust into the public eye can make stupid choices. He partied a lot and lived a wild lifestyle…He was immature and irresponsible, sure. Should he have an opportunity to clean things up? Absolutely. Why not just root for the guy to get his act together instead of posting nasty comments about him? He’s not even a Seahawk anymore, sheesh!

Haha. That’s funny stuff Frank. 327 times in 2 months. Sadly… it isn’t that far from the truth.
As they say…. actions speak louder than words. Those who have known Jerramy for many years (and aren’t blinded by a need to kiss his butt) will tell you that he most definitely is a “bad guy.”

Before you’re tempted to torch me on this ask yourself? Have I ever totally f***** something up? Do I have skeletons in my closet from when I was a young and stupid? Have I ever been guilty of doing stupid irresponsible things? Did I ever drink too much and get behind the wheel but was lucky enough to get caught?
What would you have done if you were a public figure with millions of dollars, a hot sportscar, a luxary condo, all the hot women you could want…the center of attention at every party and every event?
Yeah, I thought so…why not talk about football and quit continuing to crucify a troubled young man who’s trying to get his s*** together…It’s just petty and mean.

Good luck Jerramy! Just not on Sunday. Seattle fans remind me of Philadelphia fans. If you don’t know what I am talking about ask any journalist.

He’s such a scumbag.

Frank ? 327 times. Now you sound like some of the bloggers on this site!

We’ve all seen this soft shoe act before and it is a phony baloney show. Stevens is a punk still, was always a punk, and will always be a punk. He is a scumbag of the first order of scumbags who has got the apology thing down to a masterful fine art.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Unlike Robinson who was an alcoholic but otherwise a good person, Stevens is a psychopath and his whole adult life has been marked by consistently antisocial illegal and ammoral conduct. Sure he has talent but he is not a good person when closely examined.
Just watch, I predict he will screw up big time in TB not that long after he convinces them he has yet again rehabilitated himself and will reveal his true self yet again.
I was fooled by him once and was in his corner, I’ve read this story before. My BS alarm was ringing loudly. 327 times is not that much of an exaggeration.

Whatever. If the Seahawks lose again this week to Tampa Bay, I will be the one getting loaded, not Stevens.

The man’s a violent thug and a rapist. He should be in prison, not playing in the NFL.

Everybody wants to judge someone, why don’t we judge ourselves and let God judge him. We all have done stupid things in our lives and if people wouldn’t have forgivin me and givin me numeroese chances I wouldn’t be where I am today. You all need to look in your own closets before you start cleaning out someone elses.

Audible, his bad acts were not limited to when he had “millions of dollars”. He was a repeat thug long before that. Not one mistake–many, many mistakes, both before and after the money came in.
The dude absolutely mastered the art of the mea culpa early on. And he is still good at it. Maybe one day it will take for real. But at this stage, it’s easy to be very, very skeptical.

It’d be nice if he could get his act together but when he screws up “second chances” or “last chances” over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, it’s seems as if there is a pattern.

I venture a guess that there are very few of us on this board that have “closets” anything like Stevens’ closet.
There are degrees of bad. And one needen’t be without sin to cast verbal stones at this guy. He is a piece of work.

Why keep dredging up his mistakes…he’s not even a f***ing Seahawk anymore. Why not find something actually Seahawks related to post! How about some interesting stats?
That would involve effort. It’s easy to just publish tabloid crap about people instead of actual football news. The last I heard this was supposed to be a friggin’ Football blog about Seahawks football and not a damn National Enquirer chick gossip magazine.

I think that the Seahawks have a good chance of winning tomorrow.
But if the game is close, and Stevens makes some type of game winning contribution, the reaction on this board could be very interesting.

It’s one thing to say that this blog should focus on Hawks football, and that the Stevens’ stuff is not Hawks football. It’s another to downplay what Stevens has done. You did both. I’m with you on the first one, but not the second. He does not need any more apologists. He’s had those all his football life.

If Wallace can stay on his feet and the Defense grows a sack on 3rd down, we’ve got a shot.

People keep commenting that it’s tough for a young player thrust into the public eye with a lot of money to stay out of trouble, but Stevens had a history of being in trouble all the way back in high school and has continued that trend ever since. At some point you just have to blame the individual.

My oldest son went to high school with Stevens, and says he was a thug and a punk then and has never changed, as witnessed by his behavior. He’s only gotten worse. The apologists and bible thumpers not withstanding, this guy thinks he’s special and rules don’t apply to him, and he’s hardly the only one in the NFL that thinks that way.
Hey Gannon, I mean Cowboystroll, why don’t you stick to making excuses for Pacman Jones (of course, that would require you to really be a Cowboys fan and you’re not, or you wouldn’t be infesting Seahawks boards)? You keep dodging the question about why you’re always on this forum and the ESPN Seahawks board and the NFC West blogs on ESPN talking crap about the Hawks, but you are never, ever, on any Cowboys forum. Why is that? Because you’re just a troll? The answer to that is obvious.

Thousands of other young men make it through college and pro sports without being the wretch Stevens was. And frankly, if any one of you had strong evidence of rape and hit/run while drunk in your past (or if you had been my condo neighbor) I wouldn’t cut any slack for you either, no matter how sucessful you are now.
You can’t erase the past no matter what you do. You can own up to the past and move beyond it. The big problem with Stevens is that it doesn’t sound like he owns up to the past. He says the incidents were B***S.
So until he does, I really doubt he’s changed or put his ways behind him. Just wait and see. Probably within 24 months he’ll be on the Goodell list of justice.

“My oldest son went to high school with Stevens, and says he was a thug and a punk then and has never changed, as witnessed by his behavior.”
NH2 – So because your son went to high school with Stevens many years ago, this make you some kind of “expert” on Stevens behavior? With that exceptionally accurate third, fourth, or fifth hand information that you were able to attain?
And you need to take the “Cowboys Talk” to a different board, like one of the ones you apparently frequent.

Shaun Alexander had MORE money and more attention. He never once raped a girl, drove drunk, or ruined an entire neighborhood. Stevens apologists are the reason that he keeps getting away with it. At some point he needs to be thrown in prison to rot. He can’t function in society.
You say “No, he’s changed.” Yeah…. how many times did we hear that? I heard it WHILE he was at the UW. Then about 4 times while he was with the Hawks. Then later we found out that he entirely ruined other people’s lives from the very well documented stories that came out within the past 3 years. He’s a loser.
