Great. They are going to kick our butts too. 49ers did.

  2. seaturkeys says:

We lost to the 49ers in overtime. If that was a butt kicking there would no way to describe the Giants game.

  3. nighthawk2 says:

The 49ers offense kicked our defense’s butt, I suppose, the 8 sacks notwithstanding. Because they threw for 300 yards and beat us in overtime.

There’s 3 or 4 stats that jump out here. One is their low rushing ypg stat. Is that because Grant didn’t play much in the pre-season/camp (was it contract hold out? I can’t remember)? Another is their sack total. Our sack numbers are skewed because 8 of those 11 are from one game, the SF game, so in the other three we have 3 sacks. Another is the pass offense discrepancy, almost 86 yards more per game for them (although some of that may be due to the success of the run game in our 2nd and 3rd games). The 9 interceptions to our 1 is a scary stat. And probably most worrisome of any is the turnover ration discrepancy, minus 4 for us and plus 3 for them.

  4. SouthPrairieRedneck says:

Grant is not having a good year so far, he has played in all of the games. Probably the difference in opposing defenses saying we will stop the run, Rogers has to beat us through the air, which appears to be an option for teams that have a defensive backfield.

  5. nighthawk2 says:

Just wondered because I’d heard or read that Ryan Grant hadn’t been in football shape when the season started.

  6. nighthawk2 says:

Also that he had a bit of a hamstring problem, now that I think about it.
