So Deion Branch is out for the first 6 weeks?
× Flag comment
So we kept both kickers??
× Flag comment
What’s with the Bernard and Babineaux suspensions? Why did they keep both kickers when they were short on WRs?

The practice squad players have to wait until noon tomorrow before they can be signed?
Go Hawks!!

Crossing my fingers that Bumpus and Adams make it through waivers.

Bernard and Babineaux suspensions: What? Where did you get that? Please inform at earliest.
× Flag comment
Extra K and Atkins/Babin still have to be cut, unless they go elsewhere. Which they can’t, unless it’s at RB. Got to have 4 healthy WRs to start the season. Could cut Frye or a TE, but I doubt it.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with Billy Watson, there are only 20 names there. We need to get rid of 22. So what gives with the list?
× Flag comment
Babs had a substance abuse thing which obviously no one knew about. Bernard had the domestic abuse thing last year.
× Flag comment
Yes, I’m confused that neither Mare nor Coutu are on the cut list. Did we trade one?
× Flag comment
They might only cut 1 more player if Branch stays on the PUP list.
× Flag comment
reshumate: Thanks, just read that on Sando. Did the team know (they must have) Bernard would miss a game?
× Flag comment
Does the Bernard and Babineaux suspensions mean they can keep 2 addional players on the roster until after the Buffalo game?
× Flag comment
At least we know Frank can cut and paste from the PI website.
× Flag comment
The 2 kickers doesn’t make sense.

I was thinking the same thing but maybe both were doing it from the same supposide e-mail sent out, LOL.
× Flag comment
For a week they can keep the extra 2 guys.

We really need to hope their are no wr injuries the first few weeks. I suspect this means Seneca going to be getting some snaps at wr.
Glad Forsett made it. I see a bright future…….

So, what did Kirtman do to get cut? I could tell last night that Schmidt did not know a formation. The tell-tale sign of looking over at the other player gives that away. He did that in the Viking game as well. Kirtman probably destined to be picked up by someone else…..

Kirtman (I believe) is a non drafted Free Agent from last year
Scmidt (I believe) is a 4th round pick
× Flag comment
Kirtman was a draft pick a few years ago.
× Flag comment
5th rounder in ’06 to be exact…
His ceiling is not nearly as high as Schmitt’s. Not saying Schmitt is going to go to the Pro Bowl all the time but he is going to develop into the better player.
× Flag comment
Yes Kirtman was a 5th round pick as was Owen Schmitt. The difference is age and I think Owen fits better into their plan. I noticed against Oakland he could catch out of the backfield and turn up field. I really can’t remember the last time I saw Kirtman catch or pound the ball. He was always a Special Team guy. With the limited space we have that’s not going to get you on a roster. This was expected and a good move in my mind. Owen has a lot of potential and heart.

Man… I hope Bumpus sneaks through until tomorrow and gets on the PS.

Someone sure looks ignorant — and it isn’t Frank.

And we know posters here can hype other b.s. websites.
