(On the injuries to wide receivers…) I was just hoping that I didn’t take a shot to my rib. We’ll be all right, we have a good group. Bobby and Deion are getting healthy, so they will get back. We just have to suck it up until we get this thing right.

(On having so many wide receivers….) I think we have a great group. Across the board, probably the best group that I’ve been a part of since I’ve been in the league, and it’s only been a couple of years. From top to bottom we have a lot of guys that can play. We just have to get everybody healthy and get this thing going.

(On thinking about the numbers, of who is kept where…. ) If you think about it too much, you will go crazy. From top to bottom, we know the plays, and we want to go out there and execute. We are trying to take advantage of the opportunity that we have.

(On what happens when a teammate like Obomanu gets hurt, and how that might benefit you…) It’s tough to look at it like that. We are a tight family; not only the Seahawks as a whole, but the receiver group. We love each other, and Ben is one of the leaders in our receiver groups. He has been around the block, and a guy like me, who came up through the practice squad and worked his way up. He has definitely inspired us. He is going to get healthy and get back, and the same with Deion and Bobby. We don’t really look at it that way, we look at like we need to get those guys back as soon as possible.

this seems to suggest that Obomanu has an injury. i don’t recall announcers picking up on that (or if they did, i didn’t pick up on their comment). I think Payne helped himself a little tonight both in recieving (with the one bad fumble/drop early on) and on kick coverage. hard to say whether it was enough as Taylor also had a good game and it seems to me at least that Kent is a lock. hope Payne makes it but regardless, i thbink he is right in his comments about there being a good level of talent. on Forsett: he did stick in there and does bring something extra to the running game. but then he also gets stuffed pretty easily sometimes. if i had to guess at this point, i’d say practice squad. Ducket looked good against second stringers; not clear how he’d do against starters (but cetainly not as good). Wallace -looked pretty sharp. Babin–good night. Also enjoyed the leap and blocking by new rookie fullback.

sorry folks, didn’t see the Obamanu injury report in time.

  3. Why are Hawk’s receivers so prone to injury? It’s been the same thing every season. Is it the WCO, throwing high over the middle, or just a typical occurance for every team’s WRs?

  4. I dont see Obamanu as a big loss.

  5. I thought the deadline for cuts was 1:30 PM today. Does anyone have difinite info?
