Best guess on Lofa

The Seahawks are not releasing anything until tomorrow on Lofa’s injury, and his agent’s voice mailbox is full so I couldn’t even leave a message there. But here is my gut: If it was serious, they would have released something sooner than tomorrow. But I’m guessing they are handling this the way they did with Sean Locklear — they initially said he has a knee sprain and is out for two weeks, and that is what indeed happened so they just waited until the following day at practice. Since Holmgren said last night there was no ligament tear, and the initial diagnosis is a bruised knee, that diagnosis likely has not changed, which is good news. With the way Tatupu has handled pain the past, I can’t imagine he would sit out the season opener at Buffalo. That is still almost two weeks away.

  1. I’ll keep my fingers crossed until then!

  2. Frank,

Any news on who will be the starting QB in the oakland game? What about RB? It seems like we should be playing Bell and Kirtman to avoid injuries, but that could be a sad game to watch, maybe another round with Frye if his knee is holding up.

  3. Ya but they didnt say anything on Engram either only two find out he had a cracked shoulder.

Pray for the best yet prepare for the worst on Lofa. I won’t be convinced of anything until they convince me. I’m anxious for the MRI results in a big way, because you never know what can happen.

By the way, are we going to lock up Leroy Hill, or what?

    It sure would be nice…

am, it sure would be VERY nice to have leroy locked up, but do we really want all that money tied up solely in the LB corps?

good point swab. i hope it is not serious, but atleast the “heater” is there to ease the pain if lofa is hurt…kind of…

on another note (not Hawk/NFL related) what is the deal with the obama advertisement on the side?? i dont get why there is a political ad in the Seahawks Insider blog thats all…

  7. Free enterprise. An American institution.

Lofa played a play after the injury, and then came out.
To me that would indicate probably a nonstructural problem, but more pain and swelling. If something was torn, he would likely have come out right away.

I am uninformed, so all I say is mere speculation. Spare me your slings and arrows. I am kind to small children. If they are blonde.

Ill go with what Frank’s gut says. As long as Lofa wasn’t crying in the elevator we are all ok.

what is the deal with the obama advertisement on the side??

—whaaa whaaa whaaa…why don’t you just stick to football.

  10. it’s called free speech mother…obama’s campaign peeps are pretty astute, especially getting him on espn playing basketball with stu…i guess he’s just an average guy like us, aw shucks…

oldslow…very strange comments, and kind of creepy. hopefully that was a movie quote that i’m unaware of.

need to lock up hill, even more so now than before. we have the money, make a deal now and you will save money in the long run.

I am kind to fellow Seahawks fans. If they are smart.

wow holy crap, it was just a question, liberals are SOO sensitive…
