I read that as well this morning here in Anaheim.
The papers are also hoping that their defensive coordinator should be promoted. He’s made their D pretty nasty the last couple of years. It would really affect the recruiting, especially since they have their best class in years.
I hope walker gets it instead of our dawg. For our sake and theirs.

One thing to keep in mind – I think Arkansas is really gunning for Grobe who is named as one of the three people of interest in that article.

Sounds like the only thing keeping Mora from moving into a lucrative head coaching position next year is his own personal ambitions.

  3. sherminator says:

Let’s pray UCLA is stupid enough to hire Neuheisel.

“Let’s pray UCLA is stupid enough to hire Neuheisel.”

They did hire Karl Dorrell, and let him quietly flounder for 5 years… so yeah, they may very well be that stupid.

My guess is that Mora loves the NW enough to spend one more year “in residency” with the Hawks before taking over in 2009. He’ll likely be on everybody’s short list for NFL vacancies at the end of this season as well.

  5. truehawk says:

Lets hope they hire Mora……..I do not want to see him as the next Seahawks head coach!!!

  6. halfemptyfilms says:

Truehawk, why not? I’ll admit Mora didn’t always get it done in Atlanta, but he was also shackled with building a team around Vick…

  7. Over the years I’ve developed a sincere hate for UCLA. I like USC ok and even get along with the Oregon schools when they aren’t playing the UW or Wazoo, but I just hate UCLA.

I am on my knees as we speak, praying the Bruins hire Rick Neuheisel.

  8. cyberized says:

I sure hope they hire “NEW Weasel” too……. and I for one would like to see Mora replace Holmgren eventually.

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. cougman58 says:

I thought Neuheisel was working as a quality control football coach in some high school. That would be quite a jump to UCLA.

  10. bigmike04 says:

I really dont care who UCLA hires because I want my buddy Jamil Turner to get more playing time.

thoughr Rick Neuheisel is currently the offensive coordinator for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, after being promoted from quarterbacks coach on January 15, 2007.

  11. I dont know about Mora as Hawk head-coach. The jury is still out on his schemes for the DB’s. I think he is not utilizing his safety’s talents to the fullest extent. They play too conservative, too soft–playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. He might do well, as he is known for being a great motivator. As long as he doesnt change Offensive Coordinators, and doesnt mess with the offense too much. Hass and the WEst Coast Offense are perfect for each other–both suffer without the other. The west coast offense will always work–the plays are good, the trick is knowing when to call a play, what to call, and what group of players works best with each call…I hope Holmy wins us a Super Bowl and decides to re-up–maybe I’ll get my fondest wish, Ruskell will be fired and Holmy will be GM–then I wouldnt care who the HC was…and pigs will fly..
