It’s no wonder the ‘Hawks can’t run.

The first thing to get from the article is that our offensive line ranks among the lowest in the league and at least one member gets beat at the point of the attack 30% of the time, which is terrible. On these runs Alexander is actually slightly better than Morris, but not by much.

Looking at the numbers Morris run slants and sweeps better than Alexander, but Alexander is more successful on the isolation and off tackle plays.

The big difference is the draw, where Morris outperforms Alexander by a large margin. The conclusion of the article is that Morris should be getting more playing time because the ineffectiveness of our offensive line leads to the calling of more draw and delay runs.

These guys are boring but at least they aren’t irritating, so I guess I view this team as an improvement. The team last week was rat holing on how Philly was losing the game rather than on how Seattle was winning it. Typical east coast bias.
