Both Shaun Alexander and Mo Morris practiced, both looking fairly good. I would say at this point I don’t see a reason both won’t play (excuse the double negative).
Craig Terrill also practiced, though Rocky Bernard, Lofa Tatupu, Mike Green and Will Herring all did not practice. Lofa is wearing one of those stim machines on his sore ribs.
Darryl Tapp practiced with no red jersey and was pretty happy about it. I spoke with both him and Julian Peterson after practice and both said they have been getting additional attention from pass blocking schemes, which is the reason that Kerney has gotten so many sacks in recent weeks. Both said they hope Kerney gets additional attention this week from the Eagles, freeing them up to get some glory.
Peterson had a pair of nice interceptions during practice, one where he flashed in front of the receiver to take away the pass from Seneca. It’s interesting to watch Jim Mora when that type of stuff happens because he obviously takes a great deal of pride in his unit (so to speak). He seems to engender a camaraderie among the defensive backs that is not necessarily there among other units on the team.
There was not all the flip-flopping of offensive lineman today that there was yesterday. Walter practiced the entire time.
Oh great here come all the Craig Terrill Haters out of the woodwork. I will have to hide my eyes from the blog.

terril haters? have i missed something?

It’s gotta be tough for an offensive line to try and deal with Tapp, Peterson AND Kearney when it comes to protecting the QB. Here’s to the Eagles having major suckage on the offensive line Sunday!

Don’t forget Leroy Hill. He took Bulger out last week.

Frank, Frank – I didn’t know you had double entendres in ya. Har har. This blog can use a little humor these days.

How can anyone hate Terrill? He is a solid player. He’s no superstar, but he’s the type of guy a team needs; solid, if unspectacular (unless playing against the Raiders on MNF last season).
That’s like hating Ron Mattes. How can you do that? Sure, he’s not great, but he’s not bad either. Those of you bandwagoners can google “Rom Mattes” to find out who he is.

With the Packers losing, can we really go into Dallas and beat the Cowasses? I’d say, right now, there is a 40% chance we can win.

Yes we can beat both the packers and dallas. Did it last year can do it this year. Just need to play lights out. not out of reach. Anybody else at the Gbay snow game last year? how great was that?
And sorry, the Terrill haters comment was just a shot at some much needed humor – (see the SA discussions)

we can easily beat green bay, dallas is beatable aswell i would say we could beat them 4 out of 10 right now.

Oddly enough, players drafted after Mattes that year were:
Steve Tasker
Mike Golic
Doug Flutie
Ken Wisenhunt
I feel very hughmillenesque after looking that information up!

If we win this week, the Packers are only 2 games up on us. We could still catch them.

Believe it or not, in recent history, we’ve done better going to Dallas than going to Green Bay.

I think both Dallas and GB are beatable. Especially since we seem to have Dallas’s number in the last couple of years.
By the way, Craig Terrill is the man.

Craig Terrell is the music man. Seventy-Six Trombones in the big parade…

Ron Mattes, wasn’t he a tackle in the late eighties?
Craig Terrill is more significant than Mattes ever was.
If the Hawks play well, they can beat anyone. Dallas played with great intensity last night, especially the first half. That game had great intensity. Favre really tried to test the Cowboys deep last night but didn’t have the time needed to throw it deep. His guys couldn’t get behind the safeties and corners. I think our guys will have more luck at that. Green Bay is fully capable of losing two more games this year. Hawks need to get the games one at a time and get the #2 seed. Hasselbeck would appreciate that…

Yeah, but Terrell didn’t practice, probably due to his enormous contract and Tim Ruskells ineptitude. Holmgrens clock management is suspect but in the clear for now. SUSPECT! Naturally the real reason for his non-participation will be found to be officiating.

Ya, I agree the coach didn’t run the clock down enought the last time we had the ball. if he had passed once for a first down .Rams might not have gotten the ball back. Not good time management if you ask me.And I
wasn’t.

Frank–What do you mean the line didnt flip-flop today? Is Womack practicing with the first team in Sims place? Are both Sims and Gray practicing with the first team?

I just want to see Romo play Seattle in the playoffs. The media will be all hyped up saying its his year and blah blah blah. Then they will show the highlights of him LOSING the game last year. It will put him back to reality. The reality is, he has been playing out of his realm this season and is really lucky.

One last thing, Romo is GARBAGE!

We can beat Dallas. Have to double team TO, just like Philly did to Moss. LBs take Whitten out. If they’re gonna beat us make the 2nd & 3rd receivers do it.
