Just got to Kirkland for Friday’s practice. Today ought to be interesting because some of the 10 injured Seahawks will probably be declared out for Monday night’s game if they haven’t shown enough improvement by now.

That’s a large number of wounded, even for this point in the season. And, even more, six of those players – Shaun Alexander, Deion Branch, Marcus Pollard on offense and Patrick Kerney, Leroy Hill and Rocky Bernard on defense – are starters.

We’ll update you on who’s practicing, who’s not and what coach Mike Holmgren has to say. I would be surprised if Alexander goes today, which would likely mean he wouldn’t play on Monday.

Keep up the good work Darrin…I didn’t read through all the comments but is Frank OK? Hasn’t been here in a couple days…

Even without all of those players there is no excuse for not killing the niners, IMHO.

    Branch, Pollard – nothing new

    Alexander – good riddance

Hill, Bernard, and Kerney – These hurt but we have dealt with Hill out before and there are other serviceable tackles and ends in this roster.

We should have the same mentality as great teams like the colts and patriots, somebody’s out? plug in someone else!

    go hawks!

FYI… Frank’s off for a few days. Had a personal commitment, nothing to be worried about.

agreed and it’s not like 49ers have a great O line either. I’d rather have our O line then theirs. We should be able to at least get close to as many sacks as we did last time.

  5. Leroy is a key cog in the Hawks defense…almost like Tubbs. It would be interesting to see a comparison of the defensive performance with and without Hill in the lineup. Thanks Darrin!
