Hawks lacking hunger?

Dave Boling hits the “male” on the head in his latest column about the Seahawks. It’s human nature, or at least “guy” nature, as he puts it, for a team to slack off a little after accomplishing big things (he draws a parallel to the man who wins over a woman unexpectedly, then stops doing situps after they get married). While acknowleding the role injuries have played in the Seahawks’ season, Dave looks at the players who are enjoying strong seasons and notes that many of them were not here last season, concluding that they might be a little hungrier. As a guy who went from 195 pounds to 230 pounds in the first year of marriage (back down to 210 now, by the way), I have no idea what Dave is talking about.
