I’ve been asked about Terry McAulay, the referee assigned to the Seattle-Chicago game on Sunday night. The Seahawks have had him four times since Mike Holmgren arrived, all since 2002. They are 1-3 in those games, winning the most recent one (against Dallas last season). McAulay has assessed 23 penalties against Seattle and 27 against Seattle’s opponents in those games. Holmgren is 0-2 in replay challenges against him. Opposing coaches are 0-1 in challenges.
McAulay was the referee when Keyshawn Johnson scored that disputed touchdown in the Seattle-Dallas game in 2004; the Seattle-Chicago game Sunday night will feature the same replay official who failed to challenge that Keyshawn touchdown in the final two minutes. The mistake helped the Cowboys force overtime. Holmgren also unsuccessfully challenged a 39-yard completion to Johnson in that Seattle-Dallas game two years ago.
A little bonus chart for you officiating gurus:

NOTE: Officiating information culled from official NFL gamebooks. In some cases the gamebooks do not include all declined penalties. For this reason, official stats will differ slightly.
Mike-
I know it’s early, but I’m a RU alum watching RU vs USF. I’m thinking Brian Leonard woul be a GREAT replacement for Mack, if he’s available at pick 64. What do you think?
The McCaulay update really scares me.

Mike-
I think you’ll love Leonard. He was their best rusher until this year. He’s a great blocker and their best receiver this year. You’ll love the Leonard Leap over defenders. If Ray Rice wasn’t the fastest guy throught the hole I’ve seen, Leonard would also be RU’s leading rusher. If he came out last year he’d have been the 1st FB taken.

The hawks have 3 FB’s on their roster (well 2 and 1 on IR) why would they draft a RB/FB with pick 64? My Guess is they go O-line.

One thing we know from Ruskell & the draft, is he’ll pick BPA, regardless of need.

the draft is gonna suck next year, no 1st round pick, aprils gonna be really boring
hopefully january and february make up for that though

qbania-
Because none can play like Mack. Leonard may be the BPA. If he came ou last year he could have gone in round 2. They’ve got depth everywhere else, depending on resignings.

Next years draft will be WONDERFUL!
I can sleep in late, don’t have to listen to Mel Kiper for more than a few minutes, and we know for sure the first and third round guys will play right away. The spending of Paul Allens money is the only the only thing I feel bad about

Has Josh Parry played? What is his number?

Weaver heir apparant to Mack .
As for next year , if Weeks gets to show off as well as Mo who knows what kind of draft trades will pop up ?

Don’t be so sure about the 3rd-rounder, ray. The 3rd-rounder for Burleson was in this past draft.
klm, Parry’s number is 49. He has two tackles.

So, your’re saying I have to listen to Mel Kiper for more than a few minutes? Dang!
