Explaining Stevens’ timetable

Stevens Jerramy.jpgCoach Mike Holmgren noted this week that TE Jerramy Stevens would probably be back for the Oct. 15 game at St. Louis. That sounded later than previous estimates, but hopefully I can help explain. We wrote initially that Stevens would be back in early October. I don’t think anything has changed. It’s just that Seattle does not play a game between Oct. 2 and Oct. 14. So, if he’s back on the practice field late this month or early next month, the thinking might be not to rush him back into the Oct. 1 game. This was one of those injury updates that tends to slip through the cracks. Just thought I’d pass along an answer before someone asks the question.

Thanks Mike. I just picked Stevens up off the waiver wire in my fantasy league so that I can use him in week 6 against the Rams. Hoepfully, he won’t have anay setbacks between now and then.

I’m sure Stevens will play in week six, knowing you picked him up in your fantasy league.
