Rainier Beach guard Anrio Adams, a University of Kansas recruit, talks after the Vikings’ quarterfinal win over Mountlake Terrace.
In the opening game of the Class 3A boys tournament, Kansas-bound guard Anrio Adams paced the Vikings (25-3) with 24 points and six rebounds, as Rainier Beach advanced to the semifinals by running away from the Hawks in the second half.

Down 30-18 at halftime, Mountlake Terrace scored seven straight points to open the third quarter, capped by a long 3-pointer from the wing by Marquis Armstead.
But it was all Vikings from there, as Rainier Beach turned up the heat defensively, scoring 21 points off of 17 Mountlake Terrace (23-2) turnovers.
