Football: Recruiting updates on Garnett, Dozier, Banner; plus a peek at 2012 schedule

We’re gearing up for our annual football recruiting packages — Northwest Nuggets and Western 100 — and I’ve been laying the groundwork for those pieces by talking to some local players and coaches the past couple days. Banner, Dozier receive U.S. Army All-American jerseys

On Friday, offensive tackle Zach Banner and quarterback/receiver/defensive back Cedric Dozier were presented with ceremonial jerseys to the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The game will be played Jan. 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
