Football: Lakes WR Sammie Long orally commits to UW

Lakes High receiver Sammie Long has given an oral commitment to the University of Washington.

Long, a 6-foot-4 and 190-pound junior, spoke to Huskies head coach Steve Sarkisian on Monday evening, said Lakes head coach Dave Miller.

Washington was the first college to offer Long a scholarship — the offer came in the fall — and most of the other Pac-12 schools have shown interest.
