It comes in waves, but when it does, Franklin boys’ basketball coach Jason Kerr likes the action he sees.
In a word – dangerous. The ninth-ranked Quakers turned a nip-and-tuck game into a 3A quarterfinal laugher, leaving Timberline in their dust, 78-55, at the Tacoma Dome on Thursday afternoon.
Franklin, traditionally one of the Metro League’s top programs, made nine of its first 11 shots of the second half – and finished 11-for-16. The Quakers made four 3-pointers.
The Quakers led 33-28 before going on a 27-9 run with just under a minute to play in the third quarter.
