Girls Basketball: TNT’s All-State Team
The News Tribune’s all-classification All-State Girls Basketball Team
Player of the Year
G Heather Corral, Prairie, 6-1, Sr.
Finally healthy at the end of the season – Corral missed the state tournament the previous two years – she showed why she’s regarded as one of the top players in the Northwest. The University of Washington recruit powered Prairie to the Class 3A state championship, leading the top-ranked Falcons over third-ranked Franklin 54-44 and was voted tournament MVP. Corral paced a balanced offense, averaging 13 points per game this season and ravaged opponents with her defense.
