Not wanting to wait any longer, Trent gives oral commitment to Boise State

As the NCAA Division I basketball scholarship count increased, so did Dezmyn Trent’s desire to play for one school.

Trent, the two-time Narrows 3A most valuable player at Foss High School, gave Boise State an oral commitment Tuesday night. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard was also The News Tribune’s All-Area player of the year, and a member of the all-state team as well.

When contacted Tuesday night, Trent mentioned three things he really thought made the difference in him choosing Boise State over Seattle University, San Jose State and Idaho – and with hard-charging Oregon State also in the mix.
