The All-Sports Championship was a first-of-its-kind tabulation in Washington when it debuted at the conclusion of the 1987-88 school year. It differs from the WIAA’s Scholastic Cup in that it predates it by more than a decade and only on-the-field success is measured, while the Scholastic Cup factors in academics and sportsmanship.
