Thursday’s highlights

In a Narrows League showdown of undefeated volleyball teams, third-ranked Olympia rallied for a 3-2 win at No. 7 Gig Harbor and clinched at least a share of the league title. The Bears won the final two games by a combined four points. Lisa Chulich led Olympia with 15 kills and 21 digs, while Jennifer Liedes added 12 kills and seven blocks.

Bruised and battered? Free health clinic visits for student athletes

Apple Physical Therapy will open its doors from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through Nov. 21 to injured student athletes. The clinic is located at 3912 10th St SE, Suite 101 in Puyallup.

Accordind to a press release, therapists and trainiers will be on hand to evaluate injuries and provide guidance on exercises.

“Our goal is to help student athletes get back to playing their sport safely and quickly,” Director of Athletic Training Josh Waltier said in the release.

Students with significant injuries will be referred to their primary care physicians for further treatment.
