Ever wanted to stand high above a volleyball net with a whistle in your mouth, and be the man or woman in charge?

Pierce County is giving folks that opportunity.

The need for volleyball officials is immense, and that is why the county is not only in search of prospective referees to officiate at the middle school, junior high, high school and even college level, it is offering a training program, too – Aug. 22.

Longtime volleyball official Marc Blau in the point of contact – at (253) 848-1360, or at blaumarc@qwest.net. Registration deadline for the training program is by Aug. 5.
