Emerald Ridge’s Garrett Metz lined a two-out, two-run double to deep right center for the game-winning runs as the Jaguars grabbed the SPSL’s No. 3 seed with a 7-6 victory over Kentridge in 13 innings at Kent Memorial Park on Thursday night.

One batter before, it appeared the Chargers, who scored one run in the top of the 13th, would escape with a victory after Kort Skoda popped up to first base. But a balk was called, and Skoda coaxed a walk, setting up Metz’s heroics in Kent.

Emerald Ridge battled back from a 5-2 deficit.
