National Football Foundation holding banquet Sunday; RSVP by Thursday

Academic, community service and athletic prowess will be on display Sunday as 44 student-athletes from the South Sound will be honored at the 37th annual National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete banquet at Curtis High School.

Here are the award finalists:

* Bob Robertson Back of the Year
Jacob Bills, Stadium
Austin Filkins, Peninsula
Damian Jackson, Rogers
Christian Yoro, Orting

* Paul Wallrof Lineman of the Year
Lucas Hatton, Eatonville
Matthew Gregory, Orting
Chase Knpblauch, Life Christian Academy
Jacob Salazar, Bellarmine Prep

* Coach of the Year
Mike Finch, Charles Wright Academy

* Jack Johnson Meritorious Award/Lifetime Football Official of the Year
Mike Burton

* Kurt Gegner Community Service Award
Terry Manley

* Robbie Hunt Memorial Scholarship

The banquet runs from 4 to 6 p.m. A total of $11,570 in scholarship money will be handed out. Bob Robertson, radio man for Washington State University football, will serve as master of ceremony, and Pac-12 football official Jay Stricherz will be the guest speaker.
